Staying Positive and Energised

Wishing you a merry Zen Christmas and a fabulous 2023, with our thoughts on staying positive this holiday season…

Welcome to our first team Vlog with Zenler Educators, David and Liz.

In this interview, David and Liz dive into the topic of staying positive when negativity shows up for you on your social media and how to re-energize yourself.

So, before we get into the video, let's look at exactly what that means.

Negativity on social media refers to the presence of negative or critical comments, statements, or attitudes expressed by users on social media platforms. These comments can range from mildly critical or disapproving to outright abusive or hateful. Negative comments on social media can have a range of negative impacts, both on the individuals or groups being targeted and on the overall tone and environment of a social media platform or community.

There are many reasons why people might engage in negative comments on social media. Some people may do so out of a genuine belief that they are criticizing something that is wrong or harmful. Others may do so out of anger, frustration, or a desire to vent their emotions. Still, others may do so in an attempt to gain attention or to feel more powerful or influential.

Regardless of the motivations behind it, negativity on social media can have serious consequences. It can contribute to the creation of a toxic or hostile online environment, making it difficult or even unsafe for certain individuals or groups to participate.

There are things that social media users can do to address negativity on social media. This can include measures such as moderating content. It can also involve efforts to promote positive, respectful, and inclusive online interactions, such as by encouraging the use of kindness and empathy when communicating with others online.

In this interview, you will hear some experiences shared by the team on how they dealt with situations that cropped up and exactly what you can do to protect yourself and your community from negativity.

Finally, in this interview, you will get a sneak peek into just how you can remain positive when you do have a situation that is trying to pull you down.

Happy holidays,
