Your personal motivation is marvellous and it's what keeps you going and moving forwards with both your New Zenler and wider life goals. Motivation is the essential power holding you accountable to take regular action and ultimately achieve your goals. At a very simple level, it's the reason that you do what you do. And it's the truth behind each daily action that you choose to take. 🥰👣🤩
This is why when you're doing the behaviour of lacking motivation you often find yourself feeling stuck, overwhelmed or procrastinating. And as with everything, your personal motivations will be unique to you. 😊🙌🤩
There are 4 main types of motivation and it's really useful to know which ones work best for you. Because once you understand what motivates you best, you can utilise it to boost your results and focus. 🙌🚀🤩
Let's take a look now at the different types of motivation to reveal which ones you recognise yourself enjoying the most.
Plus, bear in mind that you may be doing a combination of them and whatever you notice is absolutely perfect for you right now!
1) External ✅
With external motivation, you respond well to tangible rewards such as gifts and income. An example would be if you decide to treat yourself to new clothes when you complete one of your goals.
2) Internal ✅
If you are internally motivated you will appreciate receiving verbal and or written praise and acknowledgement. This could be that you know you've done a good job when someone congratulates you, or when you feel that you've done a great job yourself.
3) Away From ✅
With away from motivation you are motivated to avoid something else from occurring instead. For example, you may be motivated to sell your next course so that you avoid having to ask someone else to help support you financially.
4) Actualise ✅
Here you may take a while to actually get motivated about something, but given enough time you will be. It could be that you desire to sell your course but you have not yet built enough motivation to get it completed and or marketed. However, once you are fully motivated, your motivation can easily outweigh the other types. As it has gradually built up over time.
So, as you can see, motivation varies a lot. Once you know what you are responding to best right now, you can start to add more of it to your routine. When you create small goals for yourself along the path to your main goal, vision or mission, you can celebrate each little step.
And now that you know what type of things motivate you right now you can draw on them to supercharge your results and achievements. 🥰
